The Wynd Photographic is the umbrella title for the image based ventures of photographer and filmmaker Pete Wilkinson (about whom you can find out more here). The Wynd Gallery in Hexham, Northumberland, is where Pete can be found at least four days a week, doing things photographically (and ‘Wynd-y’), and occasionally writing about himself in the third person.
Over the years, the work Pete has produced has manifested itself in a number of different ways, including long form documentary and short narrative films, blogs and papers, photobooks, presentations and workshops, and large framed fine art prints. The starting point for any piece produced however, more often than not, is a photograph. He has had the pleasure, and challenge, of capturing landscapes around the world, people from all walks of life, and animals of all different shapes, sizes and smells.
