PEOPLE

There is nothing better than photographing people; the challenge of trying to capture someone in a single image, of distilling them and their character down to the blink of an eye; the opportunity to meet and work with people and develop understandings and true collaborations. Each project is a potential reminder that on the whole, people are nice, and that we’re not that different, you and I.

Yet, at the same time, there is nothing worse than photographing people; trying to navigate the minefield of personality defects, the thick custard of not-very-passive, passive agression, the sticky carpet of self-indulgence, the sewerage pipe of hope. Each project is a potential reminder of the sheer number of idiots there are in the world.

Photographing people is wonderfully terrible, maddeningly exhilirating, and stimulating to the point of distraction. Or good shit, you might say.
